The meeting will be held in Kurayoshi Mirai Chushin at Kurayoshi
Park Square. Kurayoshi Park Sqaure is a newly opened complex containing
a museum, a library, a swimming pool, one large and one small hall in
addition to several smaller meeting rooms for various performances and
conferences. It is located about 4 km southwest of the hotel
. The oral sessions will be held in the Small Hall (seats 300).
The posters will be displayed in a big Atrium (40 meters high!), in
the middle of the Mirai Chushin building. Coffee and tea are served
at the same place.

Transportation between the hotel and the meeting place
Bus transportation will be provided every morning and evening between
Hotel St. Palace Kurayoshi (photo)
or Misasa and Kurayoshi Mirai Chushin. The
bus will leave the hotel at about 8:30 A.M., and return at about 6:00
P.M. Public buses are also available at a cost of 220 yen one way.

Parking space is available for 838 cars in Kurayoshi Park Square.
The average temperature in Kurayoshi for October is about 16C°.
Weather in October is usually stable and fine, but please do not
forget to bring rain gear with you for sudden showers.
About the host institution
Institute for the Study of the Earth's Interior, Okayama University is
located about 8 km to the east of the conference place. It is a
nation-wide joint-use research center, serving the community in Japan.
It's foundation goes back to 1939, when a small medical clinic center
was opened in the small town of Misasa, famous for the hot spring with
a high radium content. The ISEI was founded in 1985, through
reorganization of the (then) Institute for Thermal Spring Research.
The purpose of the ISEI is to conduct research on the origin,
evolution and dynamics of the Earth, and also to make available the
Institute's facilities to researchers in relevant fields outside the
