Shigeru Yamashita's Resources

I wrote several programs for thermodynamic computations relating to my recent works. I placed here some of them. I'm afraid of that they are not sufficiently smart and quick, but I will be happy if you will try to use them (feel free to download and use these freewares). This application is capable of computing water solubility in rhyolitic melts at pressures below 100 MPa, over the temperature range 700-1200。C ( !Its use is NOT recommended above 100 MPa!).

The computation method is based on the water solubilty model developed by Yamashita (1999. J. Petrol. 40, 1497-1507). For more detail, please take a look at his paper. In this application, I made a minor revision of his model parameter set to fit the newly published equation of state for water dissolved in rhyolitic melts (Ochs and Lange, 1999, Science 283, 1314-1317). Both the present and Yamashita (1999)'s methods give the essentially same result.

Source code is written in REALbasic.

This application runs in a Mac OS environment.

This application is capable of computing P-V-T-fugacity properties of H2O vapor/supercritical fluid under pressures, on the basis of a Modified Redlich-Kwong equation of state (e.g., Holloway,1977. In: Thermodynamics of Geology, pp.161-181).

Source code is written in REALbasic.

This application runs in a Mac OS environment.
