We climbed Mt. Daisen as a field excursion of MISIP program.
On July 5 (Sat), a MISIP nature experience excursion was held to climb Mount Daisen (with a peak Misen, 1709 m). We departed from the trailhead of the summer mountain trail at 5:00 am, and after 3.5 hours, we all reached the summit. After enjoying coffee and other refreshments at the summit hut, we started our descent at 9:30 am, returning to the trailhead around noon via the Motodani trail. Along the way, we observed the unique rocks (adakite) and alpine plants (mountain hydrangea, alpine meadowsweet, and goat’s beard). All participants were able to complete the excursion safely under perfect weather conditions, making it a perfect day. [YouTube]
